Had an amazing time getting my Open Water Cert. Ricky was an attentive, focused and caring instructor. He took the teaching seriously while also reminding me to have fun while I was adjusting to breathing underwater. I stayed on the boat after being certified for a 2 day live-aboard dive trip and saw everything I came to see. Sharks, cuttlefish, octopus, nudibranchs, decorator crabs, innumerable green sea and loggerhead turtles, and I was even chased by a triggerfish. But the crowing glory was witnessing 3 mantas gliding overhead on a drift dive — and it wasn’t even manta season. The whole operation was professional, the crew was fun-loving, and the food was delicious. The boat itself was delightful and sleeping on board the top open deck was comfortable and clean. A very good, once in a lifetime experience!

Our liveaboard experience was 2 of the best days of my life, no exaggeration. Cannot recommend enough. The diving experience was out of this world, the crew were all exceptional and we felt so well-looked after, the boat was epic and the food was some of the best we’ve had in our whole Indonesia trip! Gear was all great, felt very safe, our divemaster Anton was attentive, fun and kind. Worth every penny and more.

I have to admit I almost never write reviews but felt obligated this time. There are a lot of scuba diving schools in Komodo and they are all good and mostly offer the same prices. What made the difference for me is the people who work in them. Since initially approaching Azul, it felt right. Stephan was really good and communicative about everything, and the vibe was good from the beginning. I decided to do the advanced open water combined with a liveaboard trip, and it was the best decision! Ricky was simply amazing, very experienced, and had an amazing personality. I learned a lot, and thanks to his amazing ability to spot things, we managed to see a lot of marine life, including the most wanted Manta rays! The whole trip was amazing, including the boat crew and the amazing food we had on board. I cannot recommend this school enough!
